IMD (In-Mold Decoration) process

IMD Technology - In-Mold Decoration and Injection Molding Technology, in-mold injection is a relatively new panel processing technology. Since the early 1990s, it has evolved from a double-layer film bonding structure to a three-dimensional molding technology with multi-material injection molding. It has now become a popular nameplate technology, transforming the rigid pattern of flat panels into a combination of film, printed graphics, and ink with resin injection. The graphics and labels are embedded in the injection mold cavity and then molded together. The injection resin bonds with the ink layer on the back of the film, placing the panel graphics and labels between the film and the resin formed by injection molding, ensuring that the graphics and labels do not wear off due to friction or the passage of time.
